What is GroupWise?

GroupWise is the
chosen (and supported) collaboration product used here at
UT Southwestern. GroupWise is used for email, calendaring,
& scheduling. GroupWise is secure and supports open Internet
standards allowing it to be used from any Web browser, other
E-mail clients, and numerous hand-held devices. |
GroupWise supports both Windows 9X\ME\NT\2K\XP and Macintosh clients
used at UTSW. GroupWise also supports popular web browsers and Internet
protocols, including SMTP/MIME, LDAP, POP3, IMAP, and S/MIME.
How do I get a GroupWise account?
UT Southwestern employees will be setup with both a Novell and
GroupWise account upon hire. Ask your manager, department administrator,
or contact IR Security (x87600) to request an account. With the
account setup you get 100MB of online email storage. Mail older
than 30 days and appointments, notes and task after 90 days are
archived to a local c: drive path or to your network personal folder.
You may keep items in your archive for as long a period as you wish.
